1. While the rooms were fine for our purposes they are in need of an upgrade, one room had a funny smell and was very humid.

2. Hopefully the renovation will create some connecting rooms, replace worn rugs and eliminate musty smells.

19. I read some reviews here before our departure and a lot of people mention a musty smell which my husband notice right away in the hallways as the elavator door opened to get to our room.

27. The rooms are beautifully maintained, although as mentioned elsewhere, if the humidity is high in Florida, there's a vague smell of damp - but nothing at all can be done about this - especially if there are four showers per day and wet towels and swim clothes from the water park.

Plenty of parking, staff were very friendly, free safety deposit box which was keep behind reception so no chance of anything going missing, rooms were large and spotless, no smell as in another review, 2 minute walk to International Drive, 5 minute drive to Universal and 5 minute walk to Wet n Wild.

30. The only MINOR issue I would say would be that there was a slight 'smell' in the room, which whilst not being aweful, was noticeable every time I stepped into the room, however this was easily remedied by buying an air freshner from the local grocery store, as well as leaving the window open.

If I had one complaint it would be the rooms have a bit of a musty smell which is common in Florida and on one night the hot tub was invaded by a group of 17-21 year olds which is no fault of the hotel but they should have told them no more then 6 in at a time instead of the 15+ of them that stood in their for 6 hours drinking, as allot of families were wanting to use the hot tub as it was a colder day and it will just throw off the PH balance of the water.

32. The only con to this hotel that was all the drawers smelled like they had been cleaned with a dirty sponge (they had that nasty moldy smell) and every time housekeeping cleaned, the room stunk of ammonia and we had to leave the window open.

34. The first room I was assigned unfortunately had a too strong a perfumed smell but I was changed immediately with no questions asked and by a very apolegtic front desk.

44. I totally understand that it takes a bit to fully get rid of this kinda smell but we did expect to be given one of the original non smoking rooms .
