1. Not terrible (we faced the back of the building and not Bourbon so we heard no street noise), but keep in mind that bars stay open very very late and you will undoubtedly hear drunk people finding their way back to their rooms.

We asked the concierge to recommend an historic tour of New Orleans - I have to say that the tour we did was terrible, I feel that if the hotel are going to recommend a tour then they should send their staff on it - we were not given any historical facts at all, just stories about Brad Pitt and other stars, very dull if you wanted history.

3. I didn't find the room terribly loud considering the location, but that may have been because Bourbon Street wasn't as busy as it normally is, due to the dates of our trip.

8. The French Quarter (where this hotel is) didn`t get hit as bad, but many other parts of the city are still in terrible shape, even 9 months later.
