1. - I slept with earplugs, but if I didn't I would have been quite disturbed by noise at night, not just from the street but also from the courtyard within the hotel and guests coming and going.

3. I don't believe I should have to put up a DO NOT DISTURB sign until after checkout time, so maybe I am to blame, but a note to remember to other travelers.
