Last week, checking in late (around midnight), after booking in advance and calling to confirm, we were given a room that overlooked a parking lot, had suffered a leak of some kind, a toilet that had been used and not flushed, and towels that were wet (maybe from the leak) and had been dirtied with brown stains.
