1. We were told it was a good location for getting downtown in LA and although technically it's only a few miles from Hollywood, the traffic was horrendous every day so took us an hour or so to get just a few miles.

2. LA traffic is horrendous at the best of times, so it took a while to get to the hotel, but the wifi was great and there is gated parking at the back of the hotel if you drive.
