1. To complement the hotel amenities: a fine restaurant called Tart, with a pleasant open courtyard; a swimming pool too small to be useful: and obligatory valet parking, not strictly necessary given the layout of the hotel, but always quick and friendly.
"Great location, cool hotel (just avoid Hotels.com) " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/18/2011 Vote
2. The double room only had double beds available which was too small and creaked everytime we moved but the beds themselves were very comfortable.

3. Rooms were not too small and not too big, really pleasant space and loved the ' Jeans ' fabric bed covers, soo hip.

5. It is too small, and if your room is in the annex building, you end up having to walk very far with your bags, with no offer of a bell hop service.

6. In no particular order, here are some things to consider:- Location is great: guests can easily walk to shops on Melrose, restaurants on 3rd, quick meals/shopping at the Farmer`s Market - excluding beach destinations, I can`t think of a better homebase for LA- The lobby and patio are impressive, though the pool is too small to be of any real use- Our room was fine; nothing too special, but had little theme touches that were at least memorable- The price was reasonable, at about $150/ with taxProperty looks fresh and well updated, but that can`t make up for some serious deficiencies:- The rooms are motel rooms, meaning there is a window that opens up to the walkway; not very private at all- Fairfax is loud and busy at all hours; ask for a unit away from the front if at all possible- There is no restaurant or bar at the hotel; if you want to get a drink, you`re probably a ten minute walk from the nearest bar- The staff seemed totally indifferent to our needs; the desk clerks played the unimpressed hipster vibe perfectly.
