6. In no particular order, here are some things to consider:- Location is great: guests can easily walk to shops on Melrose, restaurants on 3rd, quick meals/shopping at the Farmer`s Market - excluding beach destinations, I can`t think of a better homebase for LA- The lobby and patio are impressive, though the pool is too small to be of any real use- Our room was fine; nothing too special, but had little theme touches that were at least memorable- The price was reasonable, at about $150/ with taxProperty looks fresh and well updated, but that can`t make up for some serious deficiencies:- The rooms are motel rooms, meaning there is a window that opens up to the walkway; not very private at all- Fairfax is loud and busy at all hours; ask for a unit away from the front if at all possible- There is no restaurant or bar at the hotel; if you want to get a drink, you`re probably a ten minute walk from the nearest bar- The staff seemed totally indifferent to our needs; the desk clerks played the unimpressed hipster vibe perfectly.
