1. The only problem we had was finding our way back to the parking garage from the hotel.

3. The only other tiny problem was receiving a call from the front desk early in the morning, alerting me that my car may have been stolen.

4. Was it because they've had problems with people trying to break into rooms? Did it have something to do with my key card? Was it just a note of caution for a woman staying alone? Once again, I wished the hallways weren't circular and that the stupid ice machine in the hallway wasn't loud enough to drown out a commotion.

6. Although others have said the layout of the building is confusing, if you remember the lobby is on the third floor you won't have any problems.

7. I have ridden the People Mover since it opened (in the 80s), hundreds of times and never have had a problem, mechanical or otherwise.

8. let me say that I would no more recommend downtown Detroit and the 'RenCen' to someone visiting Detroit, than I would recommend downtown Los Angeles to a traveler in my hometown of Los Angeles -- due to the SAME problems: downtown's lack of amenities and severe isolation from the coneveniences that more populated outlying neighborhoods provide.
