1. For many years, The Charles Street Inn was a favorite but it declined AND is expensive, so the Eliot is our new Boston home away from home.

2. My sister and I were there to celebrate a special event so we had gone all out on a 2-bedroom suite, ordered an expensive bottle of champagne, etc and then the hotel (and restaurant) didn't really meet my expectations.

3. The hotel's restaurant is prohibitively expensive and if you order anything up to the room, you are charged an annoying service fee.
