1. I see that most hotels in Boston are pretty pricey.

2. Unfortunately, Mass doesn't allow hotels to give complimentary cocktails so only non-alcoholic drinks were available unless you wanted to order one from the bar and they were pricey (the bartender during our stay was rather a grump - I don't recall his name).

3. We waited until our first full day of vacation to pick up our rental car to avoid pricey valet charges at the hotel, which worked out perfectly because it took such little time to go straight from the hotel to the car rental lot the next morning.
