1. unfortunately the so called friends and parents of the friends had a problem and without holding a discussion with the girls and my son (all 18) to hash out the problem they called me at 10 pm at night and told me they were not going to allow my son to stay at the hotel (which her paid his part for) or take him home to Rochester the next day (7 hours travel).

2. They upgraded us to harbor view rooms, unfortunately the center vision panel in my room had a bad seal, so it was pretty much opaque.

3. Having Platinum status means nothing in InterContinental hotels (and most other hotels in the InterContinental Hotel Group, unfortunately), but Ambassador status does, so I was upgraded to a room facing the harbor.

5. We sat next to the windows - unfortunately we had to look at the air vents at the bottom of the windows and they were totally littered with dust, small dirt and other stuff.
