5. Pros: connected to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay hotels by free tram good selection of restaurants and food stands cocktails/other drinks much cheaper than the more expensive hotels easier to get a seat on the Deuce bus as it is at the southern end of the stripCons: need to walk a fair distance to get to many of the hotels casino can be quite dark and noisy room service seemed to leave trolleys in corridors for days at a timeAll in all, however, I was very pleasantly surprised by my visit, especially after reading some of the negative comments on this website (I guess people are far more likely to post when they have had a bad experience than a good one) and would certainly consider staying here again.
"Cheap and cheerful! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/25/2009 Vote
6. Elevator wait was really the only negative as how can you complain when you aren't paying much for a room you are never really in?In good proximity to the shops and restaurants New York, New York, Luxor and Mandalay Bay.
"Fine for the price " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/17/2009 Vote
7. The only negative things I can even think of are the shower wasn't very powerful and the restaurant lines were far too long due to only one member of staff beng on the register.
"Nice hotel and a great stay " Read full review on Expedia   10/14/2009 Vote
8. It seems a lot of the negative reviews on here are from people who stayed in the older rooms so maybe its best to book the newer widescreen tower rooms like ours when staying here if you can.
"Great stay at Excalibur! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/28/2009 Vote
9. I have nothing negative to say about the hotel other than the elevators could use a bit of better air flow, but a very quick ride I must say, the elevators are also split into sections of the hotel so ours was from the 18th to (I think it was) 27th floors.
"Excalibur - Great Price, Great Service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/21/2009 Vote
10. The only negative thing about the hotel was the constant badgering by sales staff to get you to attend a presentation for the new city centre resort - they were placed in all key areas in the hotel, and even though they were not persistant, we found ourselves finding alternative routes through the casino to avoid them.
"Make your own mind up - For the location and price it can't be beaten " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/20/2009 Vote
