1. Although there is a fire station a couple of doors down you really aren't bothered by the sirens - they really only went out once or twice during the night but we were on the 7th floor so it was not disturbing to us at all.

The events can be noisey and disruptive and during my week's stay in the Hotel I was subject to a bagpipe band ( that disturbed me even though I was on the 7th floor) a private pool party, that lasted all day and into the night with music so loud you could not relax in your room and neumerous parties/ groups that took over the lounge areas.
