1. It was charming ( Think old European townhouse hotel) Not perfect ( one night I woke up at 3:00 am and the bathroom had a bad smell -from the pipes I assume- but in the morning it was gone and never returned) and not cookie cutter or bland .

2. The window in the bathroom opened into an air shaft, and we could smell the cooking from the kitchen 6 floors below in the morning and again in the evening.
