The hotel is strange - you enter what looks like a doorway on a san francisco street - and voila - you are in an old european hotel from 50 years ago - narrow entry area - rabbit warren rooms - quirky halls turn this way and that - OLD old elevator - not too clean - dusty walls and chipped paint - but, somehow - it is charming.
