1. The rest of Lombard is very noisy with 4 lanes of traffic.

2. Ok so you could stay somewhere nearer in town, but it'd be noisy, you'd pay a lot more and probably get less for your money - bus service is perfectly good if you don't have a car, which you don't really need in this city but would be useful if you're short on time.

5. If you are there during a weekday, there is a daycare at one of the houses on the left side (if you are looking at the rooms from the parking lot) and when the kids play outside they can get kind of noisy, but I am an early riser, so this was not a big deal for me.
