2. We overlooked it, and had little issue with it (we heard the occasional siren zipping by which you'd hear from ANY room, and the occasional hooting and hollaring of people passing by).

5. This hotel was OK but there were two minor issues: the mattress was worn and sunken in the middle, and the neighborhood was not great and would probably not feel very comfortable for a woman walking at night.
