3. The bed linens, towels, pillows, robes and toiletries are awesome, but the beds are hard ( hubby loved it - me not so much).

4. I have a different last name from my husband and daughter (hardly uncommon these days I would think) and they told me that they could not check me in without my husband's 'permission.

As for the hotel's location next to the Ferry Building (which has loads of F & B outlets),there are all the transport links that you could ask for (Tram,Cable Car,Bus,BART,Hop on Hop off are all within yards of the hotel) and it's not hard to get to anywhere within the city quickly and efficientlyThere is a communal terrace that guests can use that looks onto the Ferry Building and this is a great people watching spot.
