1. unfortunately there is the unavoidable $25 resort fee per night that supposedly pays for morning newspapers, wireless internet and those two little bottles of water in the fridge (replenished daily).

5. Stayed at the Vdara recently, and after initial reservations(very long queue checking in, but their system for credit card authorisations had gone down, unfortunately) it was a very lovely place to stay.

6. The room did have blackout shades but unfortunately, a gap between panels means they don't really accomplished their purpose.

7. We have since been back to Las Vegas and had an unfortunate stay at another hotel and we kept on comparing our stay to the Vdara in March 2011.
