3. As a relatively frequent guest at the Wales and someone who would not stay anywhere else, I (and other friends) have noted a deterioration over the past few years starting with an inconvenient remodeling.

5. There is much that is charming about the Wales--the neighborhood is quiet and lovely (though perhaps a bit inconvenient), proximity to Sarabeth's (in the building) is a breakfast plus, the staff is friendly, and the hotel is small with a cozy, European feel.
