The 60 Thompson Hotel doesn't take your breath away at all when you enter the lower lobby from the street as it's a rather stark, unwelcoming--or worse,--disappointing entrance and then one needs to go upstairs to check in where the reception desk is at the end of an attractive, relatively trendy room with very high ceilings and full length windows.
