2. I was a little concerned with seeing the negative reviews for this hotel, but I can say that although the furniture is a little worn, I appreciated the history, and the space of the suites can't be beat.

8. The only negatives are: the distance to the subway and even that one wasn't so bad; Hotel at 1st/49th and the closest station was 51st street station on the 6 line; The bathtub was a little older and the bathroom as colder, the carpets were a little older, nothing out of this world.
