1. Took us a while to get over the shock and clarify with reception that we were in the right room and yes this was one of their premier rooms - having viewed a room on the 4th as an alternative I can vouch that the 6th floor is premier but don't expect a lot.

3. I don't know what the building codes are in California, but where I live in Chicago they have such strict codes for hotels & office buildings concerning emergency lighting in stairwells, I was really shocked by the lack.
