1. Only negative, the heating water system us clearly old and made an awful lot of noise in the early hours.

2. On the negative side: the rooms are warm and somewhat musty-smelling, small for two people, quite noisy at night, the plumbing in the bathtub( taps leak strongly when turned on) old, and in general this place is in need of some updating and redecorating.

4. Only one negative for some- This is a very busy area- night and day- so if the noise genereated by all big city traffic/ police/ fire dept/ pedestrians is troublesome for you - the either do not stay in Union Square or ask for a room on an upper floor.

8. That being said, be warned of the negative points of this hotel: I traveled with my parents who stayed in one room and my two teens and me in another suite.
