1. I know it sounds stupid, but it's pretty standard to get conditioner at hotels these days, so it's annoying that Aloft doesn't give you any.

2. They're loud, and their turning on and off through the night might annoy some.
"A well-run Aloft. Convenient to PDX, MAX Light Rail, Ikea " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/6/2011 Vote
3. Being an aloft hotel, they have that pseudo hipness with funky bar and public places that could be annoying to some, but aren't really a big deal.
"Front desk lacking " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/27/2011 Vote
4. They created a building completely insulated from external sound, but then went and added those annoying window fan climate control units that cycle on and off all night long.
"Need sleep, not chic " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/26/2010 Vote
5. I actually had to have a shower with a flashlight so I didn't wake up my family which was kind of annoying.
"Beautiful new hotel that's quite unique " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/25/2010 Vote
6. I read the reviews for this hotel before booking it for my wedding night and the only reoccurring complaint I noticed was some people saying the elevator noise was annoying, however, they specifically put us in a room away from the elevators and we never heard any noise whatsoever; in-fact the hotel must be well insulated because we never heard any plane or traffic noise either (the air conditioner is somewhat loud, but we both didn't mind the white noise).
"New, Stylish, Would stay again. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/26/2009 Vote
7. The rest of the design issues are merely annoying:- The 'loft' concept means that the room is semi-open and if you turn on the lights in the bathroom, it also illuminates the bedroom - annoying for the other person trying to sleep in the bedroom- Similarly, there is no light over the toilet (just in the shower), so it's like sitting in a dark outhouse- There is no room service and the food choices at the hotel are limited; there are also very few good options within walking distance- For some reason, housekeeping never made it to our room.
"Aloft = AVOID " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/26/2009 Vote
