3. A simple offer of 'I'll have the staff on duty call whomever made the reservation first thing in the morning to resolve the issue' would have been more re-assuring than, 'I'm sorry, but there is nothing I can do,' leaving me to contact my host in the middle of the night.

4. Once the issue was resolved, the follow-up steps that would have allowed me to have a hassle-free stay were not followed, leading to more frustrating visits to the front desk.

7. It has been five weeks since I checked out, and they are only now owning up to their error, and I am praying that the credit is finally issued to me.

10. The hotel is on a major street so traffic noise can be an issue but where is that not a problem in DC unless you are on an inside facing room for $500/night.
