There was a safe in the room (badly installed and jammed in the cupboard door) and I couldn`t get the safe to work anyway (and I`m not stupid); I asked reception about it twice - reception never came back to me to say whether they had fixed it or whether it was `operator error` - but either way the safe never worked during our stay.
