The receptionist was friendly and gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner that night (Spiga is a couple of blocks' walk north of the hotel) although the lady that replaced him the following morning was surly and bordering on
rude
.

The
rude
front desk is really too hard to get over and it was things like charging us 3 dollars for a tea bag and refusing to replenish any breakfast items including coffee, combined with the others that give me this feeling.
