Could pick up breakfast items to keep in our kitchenette at nearby Food Pantry (urban grocery store with great produce) or the somewhat more
expensive
but ubiquitous ABC store.

Be warned though that groceries in Hawaii are
expensive
, and it's not that much cheaper to make your own food, if it's a filling meal you are after.

We have a time share but we prefer to stay here for the pure no fuss, big crowds,
expensive
parking, exercise equipment, and internet access.

The only noise you hear is the garbage trucks at night (but everyone I met along our travels, at different hotels heard them) There is a grocery store 5 min walk for groceries (Foodland), kinda
expensive
, but does the trick for food for the room.

Complete kitchen is handy for cooking one's own meals, but we would suggest shopping for food outside of Waikiki since the nearby supermarkets are incredibly
expensive

You could pay a lot more to stay closer to the beach, but why not walk a block and use the savings for a nice restaurant meal each day? Unless you plan to spend your O'ahu vacation sitting on the balcony of an
expensive
room, I would recommend the Ilima Hotel.

I would avoid using the pc located in the lobby for email or boarding pass printing, as it is quite
expensive

The Ilima Hotel is a economic oasis in the middle of what can be a very
expensive
holiday if you don't shop around.
