3. As mentioned previously the valet service parking fees can be avoided by self parking in a multi story garage a short pleasant walk in the park behind the Luana.

5. There was no toaster or microwave though but for $8 we picked a toaster up at WalMart and saved on breakfasts and lunches by having them in our room - not to mention the pounds we avoided gaining by not eating large meals 3 times a day.

7. We enjoyed memorable dinners at the Hula Grill and Chuck's Steakhouse, where we avoided the pandemonium at Duke's downstairs and got fabulous views of the beach and Diamond Head.
