If you can manage to get into rooms ending in 04 (the best) or 03, you have a direct view of Waikiki beach, and you
avoid
some really bad mechanical equipment noise from the roof of an adjacent building.

And yes, it does get noisy, but every hotel I've stayed at in Waikiki is noisy - there are so many ABC shops receiving deliveries first thing in the morning that you really can't
avoid
the noise.

The room renovations are great and the imminent opening of Eggs n Things out front will be an added bonus - particualrly if the hotel can make some arrangements for Hotel guests to
avoid
the typical Eggs n Things breakfast wait at their other establishment.

Here's the tip: spend a little extra to get an oceanfront view room on the highest floor possible to
avoid
traffic noise; totally worth it.
