1. I did find the whole atmosphere a little stale and not the typical Hawaiian warm and friendly hospitality, but at the same time I wouldn't go as far as to say it was bad.

2. Tiny bathroom, even tinier balcony, pool only 3 ft deep with no food or beverages served, small room,badly chipped paint on closet doors and we were woken up every night between 3a.

4. Flourescents are bad already, but when you try to dim them for mood lighting, which I didn't even think was possible, it makes everything look blue/grey and difficult to see.

5. Now, don't get me wrong, there was nothing bad about our stay per se, but let's just say the pictures and splashy website make this hotel out to be more than it really is.

6. I probably saved almost $100/night by staying here than the Outrigger so treating ourselves to a dinner at Nobu downstairs wasn't so bad.

7. Coffee maker was the only bad point as it tasted like plastic and the tea tasted like plastic with a hint of coffee, but no biggie as there were heaps of coffee shops nearby.

9. Being a photographer by hobby, I took hundreds of pictures daily and would sit in the lobby after each day of shooting, edit the bad ones, and then share 5-10 of the better pictures with the desk staff.

10. The room was not bad, again I liked the style of the room, but a few crusty stains in the shower were never thoroughly cleaned, and the very stylish ice bucket has no liner.
