1. My guess is it was makeup stains.

2. Since there were plenty of pillows, I found one without stains and pulled off all the upper blankets.

4. When I stepped off the elevator and began walking down the hall, I noticed the floors were soiled/stained along the way, especially outside the door areas where people would leave room service trays, glasses, food etc.

5. The furniture was cloth and the arms were soiled as well as showing stains in the seat pillows.
