Knowing there was a problem that couldn't be fixed in one day, they could have offered me a different room, so I wasn't disturbed by

and didn't have to bug staff about it.

On our first night, we called to the front desk about the
noise
, and the clerk told us that they could move us to one of two rooms down the hall, away from the elevator, the next day since people were checking out.
