3. I was worried at first that the room was near the lift & facing out onto the road but I had no problem with noise all week and the double glazing is good.

4. The noise-reduction in the room is zero, so you virtually hear the neighbour's alarmclock (was that mine?????), or their discussion on the restaurant for that evening etc.

5. My request for a quiet room was met (no noise at night despite the location on a trafficked street) and the room itself--a single with a king-sized bed--was tastefully decorated and comfortable.

8. Thus on a warm spring night when hotel is still on 'winter/heat' mode, there is no possibility of fan to move the air or provide white noise for the St Patrick's Day revelers & traffic on Wisconsin St.
