1. The hotel is about four blocks away from the metro, and from a running point of view is not far from rock Creek which is great to run through.

I had never been to DC before so I really wasn't sure where to stay: at first I was booked in a small hotel near rock Creek Park, but in January I read some reviews on TA about the Churchill and after some investigation found a great price on the hotel website: $106 a night ($120 including taxes) for five nights - so I decided to give it a go.
