1. The hotel is friendly enough and there were no noise issues from neighbouring rooms.

2. The staff was wonderful and very courteous and I'm sure the issue with the sink would have been resolved quickly if it had been a major issue.

The hotel offers safety deposit boxes at reception, but when I requested one staff needed to check one was available (with no in-room safe I would have assumed there were enough for every room); having done that they could not issue me with one as all of the record cards for the boxes had been used and the staff on the front desk did not know where to get new ones.

4. While I didn't have a bad stay, I wouldn't pay this much again to deal with these kinds of issues.

5. Room was a good size but there were two real issues: as a previous review mentioned, there are no real drapes in the room, only a very sheer curtain that caused me to get dressed in the bathroom throughout my whole stay.

7. During my visit I had the oportunity to see and overhear some of the instructions passed out to various staff as to how to deal with ongoing maintenance issues at the hotel.

8. This is a very old hotel and as such one expects bumps in the floor and the odd 400 year old settling issue.

10. Red line Metro station just a few blocks from the hotel - note this hotel is on a bit of an incline - didn't bother us but this may be a walking issue for some.
