1. Parking was expensive - and the reception staff rather surly when i asked for a later checkout.

2. We stayed in the room for 3 hours in the morning, the car was left outside the front of the hotel by the valet, why charge us the overnight price? Needless to say we complained and it was lowered to the daily charge of $26, which was still ridiculous (most expensive 3 hour parking fee we've ever paid.

3. Considering I was travelling across a few cities in the US, I found that Washington DC had some of the more expensive places to stay at.

7. Note - taxi service in DC is not overly expensive - finished up at the monuments later one evening and rather than hoof it to the Metro station we grabbed a cab back to the Churchill for less than $10.
