Friday night went downstairs, took metro red-line just 7 quick stops north to the Fiendship Heights stop, took elevator to street level (Wisconsin) and walked 200 feet south to Maggiano's Italian restaurant - past Saks, next to Border's bookstore on other side of street - for a great dinner ($72.02 total bill - fresh made pasta!- price is including tax, and INCLUDING $28 bottle of Reisling wine, and INCLUDING 2 profiteroles ice cream puffs for dessert - mom and I shared reg.

6. The bellman will take your bags up to your room regardless of whether you want him to or not - I had one small carry on bag, but he insisted, and then when I got to my room, I only had a $20.00 bill, and he told me he had change and gave me change for the $20 so that I could tip him.

7. Our rate came with breakfast coupons but I saw what the bill would have been if we didn`t have coupons and it would have been $50 for 2 adults and 2 kids (1 of whom is a toddler)All in all, of all the hotels I stayed in in DC, this one was my favorites mainly due to its location.

8. And when I checked out my bill was wrong and the receptionist seemed surprised that I wanted to check it and have it corrected.
