However, as our stay went on we were impressed by: 1) the friendly front desk staff 2) the great value buffet breakfast - try to get there around 8-8.30am, and it's nice to take your food out to the pool area 3) the lovely pool and hot tub with views of the mountains 4) the spacious (if slightly dark) 2 bedroom suite with 2 flat screen TVs, fridge, microwave etc 5) the communal laundry facilities, so useful if you are travelling with a family 6) the location which is just a short 5 minute drive from the airport where Avis have a branch, and a 10 minute drive from Santa Barbara's marina where there are some great restaurants.
