1. However, as our stay went on we were impressed by: 1) the friendly front desk staff 2) the great value buffet breakfast - try to get there around 8-8.30am, and it's nice to take your food out to the pool area 3) the lovely pool and hot tub with views of the mountains 4) the spacious (if slightly dark) 2 bedroom suite with 2 flat screen TVs, fridge, microwave etc 5) the communal laundry facilities, so useful if you are travelling with a family 6) the location which is just a short 5 minute drive from the airport where Avis have a branch, and a 10 minute drive from Santa Barbara's marina where there are some great restaurants.

2. They're also in range of all sorts of restaurants and other necessities that made it very easy and convenient to get what I needed.

3. To get into Santa Barbara where the decent restaurants are costs 20 or so dollars each way in a taxi but the hotel will ring one for you and do arrange a discount.

We recently arranged a golf outing for a group of close friends and selected the Ramada Limited Hotel in Santa Barbara as our base, and with the help of Drew Wakefield, their marketing director, we received an excellent selection of the local golf courses, restaurants and attractions during our four day stay there.
