3. This may seem trivial and the situation was corrected after I brought it to the hotel's attention but it's this attention to detail that along with the beautiful setting you come to this hotel for.

4. The reservationist was told it was our anniversary and the hotel has always been terrific and welcomed us with a bottle of champagne for our special occasion.

5. The manager told us he 'wouldn't charge us a penalty to cancel' and simply offered to make a reservation for us at another hotel - which, to him, didn't seem to be a big deal.
