1. We ended up getting an upgraded room when we moved to avoid the train noise -- and when they messed up by throwing out the food in our refrigerator during the room move, they gave us a great room discount to make up for the cost/hassle.

2. Chose the Hampton Inn for it's location (one block from harbor), value (using AARP discount),free airport shuttle (airport is under construction so I'm glad we didn't have to manuver a car there!) and continental breakfast (which was very adequate.

3. Hampton Inns are rapidly becoming my travel hotel of choice: they're usually predictable, clean, and have free wireless (plus *ahem* a 10% AARP discount).
