1. Located near Little Italy, next to the train which is super convenient, walking distance to the beach, but a bit of the walking to the Gaslamp District if you're willing to walk a lot to explore.

3. During our trip, we drove to the beach each day, went back to the hotel to rest and refresh, and then walked to Gaslamp for dinner.

4. We hired a car for 2 days and went to Carlsbad Outlets (not really worth the visit) and also went to North beach and Old Town which were well worth the visit, it was cloudy the whole time in North Beach but my daughter got really burnt.
