1. Streets, however, are not that all pleasant to walk specially in Sunday (when the majority of things was closed) or late at day, after 7 pm, and you can see lots of people begging for money and living in the streets.

2. The drawbacks were few, but the bus announcements early in the morning (Greyhound is across the street) bothered my friend and on the weekend the drunks and homeless panhandlers were plentiful.

3. Pros: -Convenient to Gaslamp Quarter and Bus Station, just a quick drive from museums & zoo-Caring staff, really wanted us to enjoy our stay and post our review on the web-Reasonable room pricing-Special packages, we got the Zoo package and enjoyed a day at the San Diego Zoo following-Complimentary breakfast that they will deliver as room service (two choices only though, an eggs and potato spread or a continental fruit spread, both decent but not delectable)-Surprise discount on parking because we had a hybrid carCons:-Old hotel that has been decoratively updated, but limited on amenities-Old hotel means weird lack of features you come to expect at hotels like a fan in the bathroom-You can hear buses coming and going at all hours at station across the street-Wouldn't make a effort to return unless needed a familiar convenience.

9. San Diego`s a big city, with its share of street people and other assorted characters, but I never felt unsafe walking from the hotel to the old train station (check it out; it`s gorgeous), to Horton Plaza (2 blocks away), or to the Pier shopping area.
