1. Our shuttle driver (forgot his name - sorry) recommended some great restaurants and gave us great advice on how to travel without a rental car.

3. On our second stay we got upgraded to a larger room without asking, and spent the AM before our flight getting breakfast at their great restaurant, swimming in the massive heated pool, taking a Jacuzzi, and just chillin'.

4. Shelter island has some good restaurants and cafes like Point Break Cafe (good, inexpensive breakfast), Brigantine's and of course Humphrey's restaurant - good breakfast and dinners.

6. This is a fine resort (really a motel on steroids), that has beautiful grounds, a good restaurant, and is right across from the marina on one side and a beach (although not one of San Diego's best) on the other.
