1. After showing me around my spacious room, opening the heavy drapes to reveal the stunning view, he disappeared as unobtrusively as he a materialized--all the more astonishing given than he looked like a Thirties moviestar.

4. At the Westgate, despite getting a great deal on Hotwire, the front desk clerk offered to give us a better room with a better view, albeit on a lower floor - at no extra charge.

9. We were informed that the only fully accessible rooms they had available were designed for 2 people (we were 4), and he offered us an executive suite on the 18th floor with a bay view as his best option for us.

10. I don't find San Diego to have a spectacular city view, so a bay view room may be better (it was not available).
