1. The area of Shelter Island is very mellow and relaxed, not noisy or crowded, its close to downtown San Diego, but far enough away!**So, upon check in, Jody greeted us with a smile and said 'welcome back.

5. Make sure you know where the shuttle stop is downtown to get a ride back, if you decide to use the hotel's shuttle service (it's $5 to go downtown but free to airport) - its by Old Town Trolley station near the Flagship/Hornblower cruises.
