1. I did speak with the manager who gave me my money back, and I moved over to the Westin La Cantera, which is a much, MUCH better hotel for about the same rate.

5. I was given free breakfast certificates at check in, a welcoming note from the manager, upgraded to a lovely room, 25% discount at their restaurants, and every time I made any kind of request it was greeted with a warm and gracious response.
