1. The area around this hotel isn't the best, but there were a lot of police present and with the free shuttle, I had no concerns getting downtown.

3. There aren't many restaurants on the block (and the hotel doesn't have room service) but the shuttle service is around the corner - as is a Domino's - and you can easily walk to the Riverwalk area or the Mexican markets precinct.
