Very convenient to the airport, the light rail to
downtown
, and there is a free shuttle to get back to the airport.

And being next to the airport means that the hotel shuttle trip is just two minutes or so, meaning it runs back and forth a lot more frequently than for a
downtown
hotel, which is very helpful in caase you juuuust missed one (like I did).

The Sheraton is nicely renovated and a great value, with easy access to all of Portland's attractions
downtown
(by public transport) or its natural out of town splendors by a rental car right at the airport.

With Max (the light rail system) running to and from the airport, it makes
downtown
a 30 minute ride away with no need for a car.

I have stayed
downtown
at The NInes and Westin and enjoyed the Starwood hospitality but it's just too far and too expensive for travelling through Portland when you have this option available.

We got a nice deal on Hotwire (you can also find hotel deals
downtown
on hotwire as we have in the past, depending what time of the year you want to visit).
